TheBloodWeb Commission Info

Terms of Service
★★★

By getting a commission from me, you agree to comply to the following statements:

How I accept projects

-I accept projects via various forms of communication (Twitter, Discord, etc. Whatever is most convenient is fine!)
-If I am uncomfortable for any reason doing your project, I have a right to decline.
-I require clear references to characters, preferably unshaded. If you feel unsure, ask if your reference is acceptable! I will work with you! Just message me.
-Please give me a clear written description of what you would like! Poses, expressions, scenery, if you want your OC to have any particular outfit, if you need the piece to be a certain resolution or file type, anything like that.
-If you need a piece done by a certain deadline, talk to me about it. I may decline if it's not reasonable, so we need to go over it before payment. In some cases, I may need to add surcharge for some deadlines, but it is a case by case basis. I will let you know before payment if this is the case.

How I work

-I will not begin working on projects until I recieve payment. I may be flexible about this if you provide an eligible reason, but you would have to talk to me about it.
-I will send updates at various stages (the stages being heavily dependent on the type of piece I am doing for you, I will clarify) along the way. During these said updates, it is fine and encouraged that you give criticism and list any changes you need made to the piece.
-When the piece is finished, I will give you a last chance to request changes to be made to the piece. After that, I will send you the completed file. Once I send the completed file, additional changes will have a surcharge.

Terms for usage of finished pieces

-The commissioner obviously has rights to the piece they have purchased, but when posting the art publicly, I need to be credited. (This means linking my twitter onto Toyhouse uploads, crediting me in your bio when using my artwork as headers or icons, etc.)
-You only have rights to the piece you purchased, not those commissioned by another customer. If the piece was commissioned as a gift for you, or if the character that is featured was given or sold to you, this rule is not referring to you.
-I may use your art to promote myself in various ways such as posting pieces on Twitter, adding them to a portfolio, showing off my work in discord servers, and so on. I will NOT sell stickers or prints or any merchandise using the commissioned project unless we have some sort of arrangement for that to be the case. It is your responsibility to request that pieces I make for you are not shared on social media for promotion, however. By default I will share my art if I would like!
-I will not claim your characters as my own when sharing finished projects! I will always give some form of credit, be it a link to your profile, or simply mentioning that someone commissioned me on Discord, etc.
-If you would like me to remove a piece I made for you from my portfolio or Twitter page when you were previously fine with it, contact me and we will work it out so that you are comfortable.

Refunds

-Because my process includes a chance for the commissioner to request changes along the way throughout the piece, I do not accept any refunds once a project has been completed.
-If I agree to a deadline and I failed to meet the deadline as I had agreed, I will offer a partial to full refund depending on how much of the piece was completed by the deadline. This amount is circumstantial, I will talk to you directly to agree on terms.
-If a piece has not yet been started, you may request a full refund. Otherwise, I will offer a partial refund if you would like to cancel a piece. How much money I am willing to refund is heavily dependent on the amount of work I have already put into the piece. We will discuss terms.

I have the right to make changes to my terms of service! If I am working on a piece for you when I change my terms, or if you commissioned something before I changed my terms, you obviously are only held to the terms that you initially agreed to. The changes will be applied to any commissions taken on after they have been changed.
